Staying safe
Last updated 25 October 2026
Most people on Retaged are genuine. These simple habits keep you protected from the few who aren't.
Pay only through Retaged
Buyer Protection only covers payments made at Retaged checkout. If anyone asks you to pay by bank transfer, PayPal "friends and family", or cash, or to message them on WhatsApp instead, it's very likely a scam. Please report them.
Watch out for fake emails and messages
- We'll never ask for your password, card details or a two-step verification code.
- Sellers: you never need to "confirm" a sale by clicking a link or paying a fee. Check your sale in Orders on Retaged, not in an email someone sends you.
- Our emails come from the address on our Contact us page. If you're unsure whether a message is really from us, email us at retaged2026@gmail.com.
Protect your account
- Use a password you don't use anywhere else.
- Turn on two-step verification in Settings → Security.
- Log out on shared computers.
Selling safely
Always post with the prepaid label from your order, so the parcel is tracked, which is your evidence if there's a problem. Take photos of the item before you pack it. Never post to a different address than the one on the label.
Meeting in person
Retaged is set up for tracked delivery. Collection in person isn't covered by Buyer Protection, so we recommend posting instead.
Report anything suspicious
Use "Report member" or "Report this listing". We don't tell the person reported who reported them, unless the law requires it.
